Congrats to our buyers on finding their first home! We started working with these clients back in April when they'd just begun dipping their toes into the market. They were unsure whether they wanted a fully updated home, or something in good condition but needing some tiny updates, allowing for more square footage and better opportunity to build equity. The idea of a complete fixer upper was overwhelming for their first home though, so we needed to find something in the middle ground!

Our solution? We took them to a variety of properties, spending time explaining construction methods, home systems, renovation quality and all the other things first time buyers need to know about. They found the look of newly renovated homes appealing, but quickly discovered that although aesthetically fixed up, not all flips were created equal and often didn't allow for some of the things they needed most (extra storage, quality wood & stone finishes, plus room for a future family) Finally we found the perfect mix of layout, size and finish in a 2012 build. This home checked every box, and with a few small aesthetic updates (still within their budget!) it will be the perfect home for this newlywed couple!
